We use plastic in our everyday lives because of this plastic pollution has become a global problem. Plastic is cheap to make so after the invention of plastic we have been using it recklessly this led to global problem that we nowadays call Plastic Pollution. To summarize how big plastic pollution is, there's whole island created by plastic waste in the middle of Atlantic ocean. Plastic is a non-organic substance wich takes hundreds of years to dissolve. 
To reduce plastic pollution i suggest that we start using glass bottles, paper bags and multi use cloth bags for shopping.
